What make of instruments do you use? Hard to tell, I play all kinds of pianos, and my attitude is to make the best out of any kind of instrument. In Norway we say that it's the guy on the skis who counts, not the kind of skis he's running.

What is your favourite instrument? In general, Steinway. That's the safest kind. Occasionally one can come across a Fazioli or a Bösendorfer which is as fascinating.

What was your best gig or concert, and why did you enjoy playing it so much? It must have been some time when I really felt I was playing well, and that isn't too often...

Which musicians have influenced your music most? A whole bunch of classical musicians, mostly pianists, but also chamber colleagues.

What is your favourite piece of music? Always changing...

Who is your favourite band or musician? An inner picture of how it shall sound - occuring here and there...

What is your favourite item of clothing? Clothes!

What is your favourite destination and why? Many: Italy, Spain, Croatia, Kongsvinger...

How do you relax? Winter: sofa. Summer: outside.
