Honour Simplicity, Respect The Flow is Kai's debut album. This highly acclaimed bassist has featured on many albums in his musical career accompanying artists such as John McLaughlin, Trilok Gurtu, Randy Brecker and Ralph Towner amongst many.

The Naim Label met Kai when he played bass on Ghetto Paradise by Antonio Forcione. We were so impressed we asked him to do a whole album for us! Kai has written the album himself with the exception of two tracks which were written by Sean and Aydin, another testament to the consistently high calibre of musicians that we record for the label. Honour Simplicity, Respect The Flow also features a whole host of other exciting musicians including Courtney Pine, Zakir Hussain, Sean Rickman on drums and Aydin Esen on keyboards.

Kai began to study the bass guitar aged 15, and went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was at this time that Kai began the first of many international tours, and his special talent received the international recognition that it deserves.

The CD was recorded by Ken Christianson and Peter Williams, who worked together in order to share the best of their expertise.
