CD058Jazz-rock-blues guitar wiz Stew Cutler used to play in a later version of Wayne Horvitz' The President and is one of the best under-recognised jazz guitar heroes I have ever encountered. This is his second trio date as a leader: the first one was sublime, but this one is amazing! His trio consists of Booker King on bass and Garry Bruer on drums. This time, everything is perfect: immensely well recorded in a church, the trio plays an outstanding blend of bluesy, spacy, electric jazz-rock, ever so well-balanced throughout. Superb!
